Project 2 Reflections
- I am most proud of my ability to pull proof and the basis of my research directly from song lyrics from the artists, because at first I felt that my essay wasn't going to have enough detail and information with doing this. It turned out to be enough sufficient evidence to build a good argument.
- If I could be given more time, I would analyze the effects of the points made by the artists on a deeper level. I would’ve maybe conducted a survey or looked deeper into peoples opinions on the subject and read what fans or non-fans have to say about the way the artists share their feelings and how it makes them feel.
- The annotated bibliography benefited me the most because it helped me form my literature review. My literature review was very similar to the information that I collected in my annotated bibliography because it provided the basis and background of my research topic, which helps the reader understand what my research question entails and a little background on the artists.
- From this project, I learned that literature reviews aren't as difficult or as annoying as I thought they were. When I was a student in AP Capstone in high school, I had a problem understanding what exactly the literature review was and what to put in it because I always felt that it took away from what research I was going to provide in my analysis. I learned that the research in my analysis was research that I had to provide, create and/or find on my own, not things that have already been done.
- If I could change anything about project 2 and what it entails, I would have allowed a broader range of topics to be chosen from because sometimes the more frequently discussed topics in current events could be discussed on a more detailed or interesting level if we were allowed to create our own research topic off of it.
