Journal 2

My biggest improvement was adding to my word count by giving more examples that supported my analysis. I wrote my first draft how i would normally write a regular paper, except for this one i didn't have any notes or as much pressure to make it perfect, so i wrote it faster. However i didn't exactly make it shitty as that article suggested. I was able to explain my point and provide analysis, but i went so fast that i didn't stop to add examples.
That being said, I did learn that having multiple drafts can be helpful. It takes a lot of pressure of the first writing and allows my thoughts to flow faster without stopping to analyze every sentence. Then once everything is written i can go back and focus on word choice and structure.
I honestly wouldn't change anything further. I work best under the wire and would have finished the essay the day before it was due anyways. An extra week would have been procrastinated. I really don't believe more time helps in any case, I just do my work when it needs to get done, and I don't like stretching out one assignment.
I wouldn't change anything in the prompt either. I had fun writing this paper, and it was by far the most enjoyable experience with an essay. I liked being able to choose my own topic and pick my own comparisons. This prompt gave us a lot of freedom to work with, and having one of the adaptations be after 2000 kept it interesting for me.
