Journal 2: Prompt
1. I believe that I improved the most on my analysis of the two works between my first and final drafts. I feel that I gave a more depth analysis on many things between the two. These things would be the genres and the narrative structure of each one. Also, I feel that I spoke more about the audience and how each work affected its audience and the impact they had on their audience.
2. The most important thing that I learn from this project is the writing process that I went through to create my final paper. I feel that I learn many new ways of writing and how to perform a better analysis. I feel like I am a better writer after doing this project.
3. If I had another week to work on, I would change a few things within my essay. These things being if I cited my work correctly as it is needed and make sure grammar was not an issue. I feel like another week would be very beneficial towards me and my work and help me with my grade.
4. If I could change the project prompt in the syllabus, I would change that it had to before two different time periods. I feel that the two periods do not play a significant role within the prompt and limits the writing process of the writer. That these adaptations that are made only a few years apart from the original can be just as insightful and informative as adaptations made decades after the original.

Hi Austin
ReplyDeleteIt's great to see that your drafts improved and you took advantage of several drafts. Thank you for your perspective on the time period of the adaptations.
