Journal 2: Prompt

1. During the writing of project 1, I think what I improved on the most between my first and final drafts is my understanding of the reasons as to why the two genres I chose were represented differently. In my first draft I didn't really have a well crafted idea as to the significance of the different changes in the adaptation but that's something I developed more and included in my final draft.
2. The most important thing I learned from this project was from the conference where it was brought to my attention that I could go a little more in depth in my analysis of certain elements that were consistent in both adaptations as well as the differences between the two.
3. If I had another week to work on my essay I would try to work on my sentence structures more, especially my transitions into different topic. I felt that at times when I moved on to a different topic it wasn't much of a smooth transition. Furthermore, I think I would work on my conclusion more. My conclusion seemed a little too boring and repetitive and I kind of felt like I just threw it all together just so I could be done sooner.
4. If I could rewrite the project prompt in the syllabus, I probably wouldn't change it because it conveyed the general mission of the project as well as what needed to be included.

  1. Hi Dana
It brings me great joy to see that the conferences helped you so much! Also, knowing yourself is fundamental to improvement, so it's good that you know your limitations
