Chapter 5 Response
Chapter 5 was very informative but for me but also a bit of review. It did provide me with a bunch of new information that I think will benefit me in the upcoming research paper. I've never had to pick my own topic for a research paper so this chapter really helped when giving information on how to do that. I also feel that because we get to choose our own topic it will make it much more enjoyable since it's something we actually care about and can relate to. I feel like this chapter will be a good reference to look back on while writing my essay because it provided so much beneficial information.
I also agree that this chapter contained a lot of important information for writers on the topic of research papers. That this chapter will certainly be a great reference for writers to use when in the midst of writing their own research paper.
ReplyDeleteI agree with you when you say that being able to choose our own topic is much more preferable than being assigned one. If I'm going to spend a bunch of hours research something I don't want it to be something that bores me or else I'm going to seriously dread doing it and then probably procrastinate and not do it until the last minute. In which case my essay would just end up being terrible.
ReplyDeleteI do like that it spent quality time on the process of refining a subject, rather than just saying "Refining your subject is good." It gives actionable advice, not just aphorisms with no real substance.
