Annoying ways
I enjoyed how the author compared sloppy writing with poor driving habits and so it. I made the whole writing process seem more important and the same way you would drive distracted you shouldn't write while distracted either. I also appreciated that the author included examples of what not to do and then how t fix them such as when someone is quoting. to start off the quote prepare the reader by telling them who said it as opposed to inserting a quote into your writing that way the flow is better. The addition of how to fix citation errors is also greatly appreciated as it helped with citing for the research paper besides just using easy bib, or refworks.
I also liked the comparison that the author made within this article and felt it did make the process seem more important. The examples the author did use were very helpful and gave a good outline to how writers can fix their mistakes when coming to things such as quoting and citing sources.
ReplyDeleteI was also a fan of the whole car comparison, but come on nothing is more annoying than a slow driver in the left lane , it possess's no competition. However the article did a very good job at giving examples and providing bad case scenarios . I enjoyed the reading and it seems to have a variety of people including you.
