Annoying Ways
In this essay annoying slow drivers are compared to writers who are writing research papers that include sources. When I am on the highway and I am driving in the left lane, which is known as the fast lane, I get extremely annoyed and agitated when I am stuck behind a slow driver who is in the "fast lane!" I think to myself why would someone knowingly enter into the fast lane if they are just going to drive slow. This essay helped enlighten me because I never thought about this scenario in relation with writing.
I am no expert at writing research papers, or knowing how to properly source each topic I introduce. So, when an expert in writing research papers is grading my assignment, they may feel the same pain I feel when I stuck behind a slow driver in the left lane. There are always to ways to look at it: 1. The person has no clue that they are doing anything wrong. 2. The person knows they are bending the rules, but does not care, and chooses to do the wrong thing anyways. I always like to think the best in people, so I would like to believe that the driver in the left lane is just starting out and does not know any better. However, I am not ignorant, so I know that this is not always the case.
Since I am no expert in writing research papers, I know that I will make some mistakes along the way in my paper. I know that the reader can take these mistakes and two different ways: 1. I do not know any better. Or 2. I know what to do, but I choose to ignore it and do whatever I want. I hope that when I submit my paper that my grader will not get annoyed, and think that I am choosing to do what I want. If this happens my grade will be negatively affected. I truly hope that the reader of my paper knows that I am no expert, and that I am trying my best.

I really liked your post because, I get really upset when there's a slow driver in the fast lane and that must be how some graders felt when grading my work. I don't want to be ignorant and I want to try to make this paper as well written as possible so I am going to have to be extra cautious when writing it.
