1. I don't have a set formula for how I write. My process depends largely on what the assignment is. I usually do start with a title, unless the work is more artistic, then I wait until the end to give it a title. For formal essays I start with the thesis, move to the body paragraphs next, then write the intro and conclusion.
2. I like to write with music playing when I'm writing something informative, persuasive, or formal. I prefer to write in silence when I'm writing poetry because I don't want the emotion of the music to influence the emotions I want to come across in my poem. I much prefer to write alone than surrounded by other people.
3. I don't do much prewriting. I tend to just start writing things down and once I have enough on the pages I'll go back and fix it. I've found that typical prewriting strategies don't work well for me.
4. I think my writing strategies work relatively well. The only issue with how I write is that I wait until the last minute too often to complete large writing assignments. I still get them done and do a good job, but I know they could be better if I gave myself a few days to look them over and find/fix weak spots.
