Chapter 7 Response

This chapter was very informative on the types of citations that are used from writers. It also speaks on the importance of identifying and understanding the key differences between paraphrasing and summarizing. I felt that this chapter was very helpful towards my writing because I have had some difficulty with knowing which citation I need to use with each of my sources.  Knowing these differences will help me prevent accidental plagiarizing and incorrect citations that could negatively my future essay grades and my overall English class grade. I find this chapter to be the most important chapter to have read within this class because this is one of my toughest problems that I come in conflict within my writing process. I feel better prepared and equipped to be able to use better citations to help my overall essay as a whole and earn a better grade for future essays and research papers.
