Chapter 7 response
This chapter seemed to be just a recap on what we have already learned on citations and plagiarism. I say it was a recap because we learned a lot of this from high school before hand. Also we did a major recap of all of this in class over the past couple of weeks where we reviewed almost all of what was in chapter seven. We even went into depth about plagiarism in class where we reviewed what could be counted as plagiarism and some of the repercussions that can be caused by this upon which we all signed a document stating that we acknowledge that their are punishments if we do plagiaries someone else work. Due to the fact that we did review all of this in class and we did learn it in high school I did not find chapter seven all that helpful in the end.
This chapter was a recap for me just not because I learned it in high school. I only really remember this stuff from what we went over in class the last couple of weeks. I totally forgot about signing that document and that solidifies that we definitely went over citations in class. Unlike you I did find chapter seven helpful because I now know where to go if I have questions.
ReplyDeleteEven though majority of it is a recap, plenty of people forget things like all the aspects of citations and all the rules that come along with it. High School can be hard to remember sometimes and some high schools don't emphasize plagiarism all that much. So what could be not helpful to you could be helpful t others who maybe don't recollect ideas as well as you do.
