Ch 7 Review
Plagiarism is a big problem in Universities and schools all across the nation and to have a chapter like this to remind students of the rules is extremely helpful and can only benefit everyone. Growing up I only cared about plagiarism if it effected my grade in any way or if it would personally harm me, a lot of my teachers in the past only really cared if I copied and pasted or if I left out the bibliography's. So to have this paragraph go through most of the dynamics of actual citing and bibliography's to the full extent including quotes, paraphrasing and more is very helpful for us to remember and reiterate what we are learning in class 24/7. I never cared to familiarize myself with all the rules of plagiarism just the ones necessary for each teacher to be okay with my work and not fail me. I'm glad this chapter can be used as a overall review to all the necessary actions to avoid plagiarizing and enable us to have perfectly legal work. The fact of the matter plagiarizing is very wrong and although citing is very aggravating, we have to do it ensure we respect our work and the previous people's research that they discovered and let us use for our own research.
I agree, this chapter was very beneficial when talking about plagiarism. It was very helpful to be reminded of the rules because if you just accidentally cite something incorrectly it could turn into a big issue of plagiarism. This chapter is a great tool that we can all use to refer back to if we are having any concerns with the ways to go about citing and plagiarism.
