Reading Response to Chapter 9

Chapter nine is definitely helpful for what we are doing right now. I like that it focused more on how to take the revisions and how to get revisions out of your peers than how to give revisions. When the author mentioned the part about the writer not having to take every piece of criticism the reviewer was giving I felt relieved because I always felt like well if they are telling me to do something different than my piece was awful, but sometimes it is just a difference of opinion that causes it. By reading this chapter I gained that a piece of writing has room for a lot of revision. That is shown through Gwen Ganow's story and all the "blue" changes she put in. It was a big difference.
