Chapter 9
Chapter 9 was helpful but a lot of it was also things that I think most of us already knew. Revising our work is good to make sure that we are turning in the most clear and organized essay. It gave a lot of good examples for peer review and questions you can ask during the process. Also, I feel like the sample essay being added was very beneficial and helped me see how I can better improve the way I peer review someone else's work. Although it gave some good examples I feel as if there could have been more beneficial things. Too much of it was pretty much common sense or things that we should have been taught already.
I completely agree. I feel that though this chapter is helpful, it was also very boring cause it was just bringing up things we all already know. It would have been more refreshing if it gave new ways to critique or new methods of revision. I felt like this chapter was just a few surprising and entertaining thoughts away from being extremely helpful. Great Blog Post!
ReplyDeleteThats a great point that the examples provided help for us to review someone's paper as far as what advice to give them. It does seem like common sense to just tell that what they can do better, but it is convenient to have a reference of things to be looking for in our peers papers. Other than that I also found this stuff repetitive and old information.
