Chapter 9 Response.
I'm just gonna say what we're all thinking. That. Chapter. Was. BORING. I won't deny that the chapter is a helpful read for those who need a stronger grasp on revising. But that's just it. We're not inexperience to revision. We have all at least had to revise some sort of essay in our lives. We've all had so kind break down of helpful revision tips and methods. We've all done this before. I just feel like this chapter would have been a lot more entertaining and helpful if it gave us new tips or ideas on critiquing or advising. For example, I read a fellow classmates blog and it mention the sandwich method. The method that basically means compliment some about the essay or article being read (Bread), Point out all the critiques you have (The Meat), End with another compliment (Bread). That right there is an AMAZING critiquing approach, but yet the book made no mention of it. It also would've help if the book tried to relate more while also keeping it realistic. Honestly, as a writer, I rather not here about how another student approached a similar essay if the essay's aren't exactly the same. I feel like the book chapter could've at least approach that different way. Once again, I'm NOT saying this chapter ISN'T helpful. It does a great job reminding us about proper revision. I just wish it was a more creative and entertaining read.
Side Note; If it's not that obvious, I'm not a big fan of reading. Especially if its boring and repetitive. XD
