Chapter 9 Response

The revision aspect of the chapter seemed a bit common sense. Whenever i get stuck with writing and I cannot see any places to change and edit, I always ask a friend to read over it and tell me what they think and be as brutally honest as they can be, especially when it comes to graded papers. The questions that the reading sad to use were helpful as they allowed me to think of additional things to ask my peers for help when writing but also with how i could produce my best writing and fix more things before needing it to be reviewed by a peer early on. I also gained the knowledge of other methods of writing and how to better my writing. As for the remixing the genres I found it incredibly interesting but I wouldn't care to do it as it seems like it takes more effort than required but I understand why certain things need to be transferred into different genres for different audiences to understand them. I wouldn't give my English prof a detail transcript of how I made something work I would just give a brief explanation of what needed to work and that it did. Essentially cater to what the person and audience will understand. Though interesting I still would not care to do it unless it was like a grade.

  1. I felt that a lot of what was read was more or less common sense. It was mostly a review of things that high school teachers tell you a thousand times but still I felt a refresher was helpful after a long summer. I do agree that the reading did help me think of questions to ask in a peer review.
